First of all each candidate who wants to write the exam must have PASSPORT with themselves. Without it no candidate is entertained to write the exam.
So ensure that you have a passport.

- Transcripts
It’s an official document which consist all your grades and marks in a sealed envelope. Every university requires this document, so ensure that beforehand you have 10-15 copies of it. It can be taken from the student section of every university but ensure that you have a specific reason for accepting it. Its highly confidential and is not given to anyone unless and until u have a proper reason to state.
- LOR
LOR or Letter of Recommendation is something that your professors give it you in praise of yourself. Its a simple letter format in which the professor who recommends you, by expressing his beliefs and expectations about you, especially the academic ones. Each candidate requires a minimum of 3 LOR from 3 individual professors, but with a clause that the professor must have tutored you for a minimum of 6 months. Note – if you have excellent academics and you are top ranking student (top 10) or if u have presented any paper, with your professor then it must a part of your LOR.
- SOP
SOP or Statement of Purpose is the decisive document which can lead you even to Top Notch University like MIT, STANFORD, HARVARD, UCB and many dream universities. This document is just a plain word file in which a candidate expresses his desires of pursuing their career in a particular university. There is no need to make different sop for each university, only one is more than enough. This has to be unique in every sense and no plagiarism is entertained in it. You have to make in short and crisp and entertaining for the university professor who will be evaluating your overall profile. It’s the toughest part of all the above and it has to be rewritten multiple times before finalizing it. I myself had rewritten my SOP 21 times before I got admission in UCB.
- Extra & co-curricular activities
This is one of the important factors which most of d universities abroad stress upon. So every candidate must have some or the other co-curricular activity in their graduate life, specially papers (national or international) or some cultural work, blood donation and stuff. Mention such things in your resume. Publishing papers is D MOST IMP THING. U may not participate in oder activities at ur university, but if u do, and win, den it does matter, but has a little impact.
Ieee.org – This website is for electrical and electronics students where most of the students get required papers, but for accessing the papers you need to pay charges as they are a result of years of hard work.
Note – your undergraduate activities are not considered by universities so don’t bother to think about them.
So friends these are all the documents which you will need after you complete your GRE. But I wrote them ahead of time because you need to arrange them beforehand as it takes more than a month to collect all. So my advice to fellow aspirants is that kindly arrange them so that you don’t need to run here and there for such stuff later.
