MS in US: Publishing

In the last post, I spoke about something about international papers and conference which each and every student must involve themselves into.

Why International Papers?
Some papers or articles have an influential impact on the readers mind whatsoever be the topic. But a MS student must not think about going for national papers (personal view) as most of the univ do not recognize them as individual credit.
Though it seems to be tough but it’s the other way round. There are many articles and publications printed on a monthly basis on the account of new innovations happening around us.

Just go through them (I mean not a quick reading but the idea behind the mechanism invented).

Books which an individual can refer
1. Discover Magazine
2. Science Daily
3. MIT Technology Review (My personal best)

How to get it all started

First of all publishing or even try to present an international paper is not a piece of cake folks. It takes months of patience and hard work to present a proper and standard paper according to the US norms.

But how to write it because it must be unique – this is major problem of all the fellow people I have come across during my B.Tech.

So I am telling you my way of doing it and everyone has his own method.

First I used to read any IEEE paper of my field of interest, regardless how easy I think the topic is. The interesting thing which I came across while reading those papers is that I personally have zero knowledge even of those things which I thought to be easy. Read carefully and go through the paper at least 10 times so that one can clearly understand each and every minute detail of the paper.

Once you have spent your precious time over reading the paper…look for the loopholes. Every paper has a loophole and it’s an opportunity for you to present your idea over the weak point along with the advantages that you look in them.

Try to present your presentations once in 6 months in univ which have international seminars and stuff. It’s time that u have an edge amongst others.

That’s all for the day

BEST OF LUCK FRIENDS….
